Stained Glass
The Basilica-Cathedral of Sherbrooke is dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel, the leader of all angels in the Army of God. The stained glass of the choir and of the upper part of the nave was consecrated to the Angelical Spirits and their actions in the Old and the New Testaments. The south transept is dedicated to St. Joseph, spouse of the Holy Virgin Mary. The stained glass of the clerestory in the apse and the transepts honor the apostles with the large window of the façade consacrated to the four Evangelists. In the lateral chapels of the nave, the stained glass is dedicated to the Patron Saints of the bishops and archbishops of Sherbrooke, the Holy Family, the Canadian Martyrs, and to St. Theresa of the Child Jesus.
